The Messenian Amateurs' Theatre has excellent news to announce.
After the success of the show "Baptistikos", the MAT plans two productions. One will be "Turandot", adapted for children by Yiannis Kalatzopoulos, which will appeal to both children and adults, while the second, the big production, will be "Plutus" by Aristophanes.
Carlo Gozzi's Turandot, the story of which became the subject of one of the most famous operas of all time written by Giacomo Puccini, takes place in the East and stars the proud queen Turandot.
"Plutus" by the ancient Greek dramatist Aristophanes was first presented in 388 BC and refers to social inequality. The comedy plot focuses on Plutus, the god of wealth, who is blind and tries to avoid social injustice by facing a series of contradictions that will provide laughter...
Both productions of the Messenian Amateurs' Theatre promise to offer you unique moments of spectacle and entertainment.
