Filmhouse/New Kalamata Cinema Club-RADICAL
Spread the word
In a Mexican border town plagued by neglect, corruption, and violence, a disillusioned teacher tries a radical new method to overcome his students' apathy and unlock their curiosity, potential, and maybe even genius.
Based on a true story set in 2011, Christopher Zala, with his simple, realistic and tender directorial approach, approaches with a more human and emotional dimension, one of the bloodiest periods in Mexico, where the war of the barons of narcotics "intervenes".
Radical won the audience award for best film at the 2023 Sundance Festival, stealing the hearts of audiences wherever it was screened. It also premiered with great success at the Second Kalamata Children's and Adolescent Film Festival!
