30 years of Philippos Pliatsikas
"We Will Bloom Again…"
Upon releasing the album "We Will Bloom Again," Philippos Pliatsikas will tour Greece and Cyprus on a journey that retrospectively features songs from three decades. "The Prince of the West Bank" is one of our country's most influential musical stories, with songs that remain indelible over time.
It was January 1995 when Manos Xydous persistently convinced Philippos Pliatsikas to approach the microphone and sing. As he has revealed, "…until then, I was looking at a microphone and sitting 15 metres away…". A year later, his first big hit with his voice came with the song "Old Loves Go to Heaven" since Maro Vamvounaki, who wrote the lyrics, made it a condition that Philippos sing it. With this song, he was anointed as a performer and has enriched the soundtrack of our lives for three decades.
If I Could Change the World, All My Loneliness, Who Has a Word for Love, Snow City, Dedicated, You Know Me Best, Truth to Tell, You Stopped Reminding of Love and many more of his songs that we loved either with Pyx Lax or through his personal discography. A concert celebrating Philippos Plyatsikas, with songs of his own that have sealed all phases of our lives over the last 30 years.
So many moments and so many memories… Thus, an artist whose songs have become part of our lives completes the circle of a deep musical love for a large and universally inclusive musical world.
