A few words about Simone Mongelli
Simone Mongelli is a multidimensional artist, musician, ethnomusicologist, Body Music Performer and percussion teacher. Originally from Italy, he has significant studies in music and ethnomusicology and has created his own artistic identity, combining tradition with contemporary sound.
He has collaborated with leading artists, such as Max Pollak and Keith Terry, and international musical groups, such as Chef de Kef and Between Seas Trio. Simone has performed in over twenty countries and participated in major festivals, such as the International Body Music Festival, where he presents his unique approach to body music.
His work focuses on the composition and revival of traditional rhythms and songs, connecting cultural heritage with his own creative approach. His groundbreaking album "Bodyterranean" is dedicated to the music of the human body, drawing inspiration from the Greek and Italian tradition, and has received international recognition.
He has also composed music for theatre and dance performances and has taught in seminars, masterclasses and workshops for children and adults around the world. Body Music, which combines movement with sound, is a central pillar of his artistic and teaching path, offering a unique way of expression and education.
