The Erani Filiatra Athletic and Football Association was founded in 1935 (headquartered in Filiatra) and officially recognised in 1947. The Association's name comes from Erana, an ancient city in the region of Trifylia.
Today, the Association maintains football, basketball, and chess sections. In conclusion, the football department of the Association has won the local championship several times. At the same time, it was also a multiple winner in Messenia's EPS Cup (Association of Football Associations), with eight victories and eleven appearances in the final.
