The "Mantas" Cultural Association of Chandrinos

The Cultural Association of Chandrinos of Messenia "Mantas" has its roots in the interwar era. Specifically, it was founded in 1927, and its first president was Stelios Spyropoulos. Initially, the Association created a theatre group, as well as a football team with the name "Mantas". During the difficult migration times, the Cultural Association operated mainly through the "Apantachou People of Chandrinou Association".
The purpose of the Association is to cooperate with the other active associations of Chandrinos (formerly also referred to as Prophet Elias or Ai Lias) for the historical and cultural promotion of both the village itself and the broader region.
