The Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata says goodbye to Autumn with a series of activities

From Thursday, 24th to Monday, 28th of November, the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata organises seminars, masterclasses, concerts and lectures on a wide range of music.
More specifically:
On Thursday, November 24th, from 16:00 to 21:00, Dimitris Kountouras, who specialises in early music and historical flute types and is a Professor at the Ionian University and the Centre for Early Music of the Athens Conservatory, will deliver masterclasses in the Flute with a beak class of the Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata.
On Friday, November 25th, he will deliver a masterclass in the Flute class of the Conservatory from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., while on the same day at 9:00 p.m., in the Concert Hall, Dimitris Kountouras will deliver a lecture on "A history of Interpretation: Baroque Rhetoric and the Role of the Performer Across the Ages" which is open to anyone interested in the performance issues of the Baroque era.
On Sunday, November 27th, at the "Th. Angelopoulos" Amphitheatre, at 20:00, the 11th Kalamata Guitar Festival will honour the important Greek composer and guitarist Giorgos Noussis, who lives and works in Austria and is a constant partner of the institution.
The festival's opening concert will include works for solo guitar and chamber music by composer and guitar soloist Giorgos Noussis.
Giorgos Noussis lives permanently in Vienna and has rich compositional work and a brilliant career. The composer's collaboration with the Festival began in 2015 and continues to leave its mark on the classical guitar repertoire. Award-winning contestants of the past seven years in the "Best Performance of a Compulsory Work" category will present works by the composer.

Finally, on Monday, November 28th, at the Th. Aggelopoulos Amphitheatre at the Labour Centre (95, Aristomenous str.), George Noussis will deliver a guitar masterclass to students of the Conservatory, while at 8:00 p.m., and in the context of the Chamber Music graduation exams, the students of the Kalamata Conservatory Jason Georgiopoulos and Maria Markova will present us a concert with works by: G.P. Telemann, F. Schubert, M. D. Falla, H. V. Lobos, A. Piazzolla, E. Gismonti, F. G. Lorca, St. Gyftakis, Th. Panagopoulos and G. Nousis.
