Experiential Animal-Loving Workshop for Children and Families
Spread the word

The Municipality of Kalamata, in collaboration with the Kalamata Animal Welfare Club, DASH and AMKE Zo. ES. is bringing a unique event for young friends and all those adults who love animals and believe that only together can we change the lives of homeless animals!
From April 15th to 18th, 2025, animal welfare actions such as educational programmes, experiential workshops with mediator dogs, presentation of animal welfare books, teacher training, and an open discussion with the public will occur in Kalamata. “For a Municipality without homeless animals.”
On Wednesday, April 16th, Katerina Papapostolou, founder of the NGO Zo.ES, primary school principal, animal therapist, and author, will visit our city. She has dedicated her life to education with love and respect for all living beings. With more than 700 actions in schools throughout Greece, she inspires children and adults to see animals with empathy and true love.
By her side will be the three wonderful animal therapy dogs: Dioni, Pothos and Axel – all former strays, who today have been transformed into living examples of strength, acceptance and love. Their presence will offer everyone, young and old, a moving and unique experience. This will be an experiential pro-life workshop for children and families, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Municipal Cultural Center of Kalamata.
Through this specific action, we will learn about strays, care and respect for animals, and how we can make a difference with our actions. There will also be an open discussion for adults regarding animal welfare in our city.
Free admission.
