Kyparissia Hosts the “Two-Day Festival of Tradition”
19–20 June 2026 | Kyparissia Square
Kyparissia welcomes the “Two-Day Festival of Tradition”, a special cultural event organised by the M.E.S.K. in collaboration with the Municipality of Trifylia and CIOFF, on 19th and 20th June at Kyparissia Square.
Under the motto “Culture Unites Us, Tradition Takes Us on a Journey!”, the two-day event aims to showcase the richness of Greek tradition and offer unique moments of emotion, cultural expression, and entertainment.
Day One: A Tribute to Emigration
The first day is dedicated to the theme of emigration through the tribute “My Bird Far from Home…” (“Xeniteméno mou poulí…”). This thematic presentation explores the memories, emotions, and stories of people who left their homeland in search of a better life.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend an art exhibition on the theme of emigration, featuring works created by the visual arts workshop of M.E.S.K.
Day Two: Dance and Musical Heritage
The second day celebrates Greece’s rich dance and musical traditions. Under the title “Dance Steps from Thrace to Crete”, cultural and dance associations from various regions of the country will present traditional dances and customs, offering a colourful cultural journey from northern to southern Greece.
Preserving Cultural Heritage
The Two-Day Festival of Tradition is an important initiative that promotes the preservation and appreciation of Greece’s cultural heritage, bringing together communities through music, dance, art, and shared traditions.
Event Start Time: 21:00
Admission: Free for the public.
