The end of January approaches, and what could be more ideal than hiking along one of the paths of Mainalo. At a time when we hope to step on some snow...
The starting point will be Alonistaina, a beautiful and picturesque village at an altitude of 1,142 m, a point of concentration and departure of the Greek forces during the revolution of 1821 and the birthplace of Kolokotronis' mother, Zambia Kostakis. Her monument stands out in the village square, and her tomb is opposite the front of the church. Destination Vytina, at an altitude of 1330 m in the lap of Mainalos, looks like a painting. A favourite destination for all seasons of the year, it is famous for its rare climate that you consider healing for the soul and body.

Green, picturesque and welcoming. The old stone houses, its picturesque narrow streets, its square with the imposing church and of course the "street of Love".

EQUIPMENT Glasses, hat, sports shoes or hiking boots. Backpack with water and light food. Windbreaker or jacket, second change of clothes, and second pair of sports shoes. In the winter months, always have a raincoat with you. And, of course, your personal pharmacy kit.
