From Friday, September 22nd to Monday, September 25th, the “1st International Art Documentary Festival” will be held in beautiful Kardamyli with documentaries on music, photography, dance and all the arts, international and Greek creators. Guest artists and residents will develop a creative dialogue exploring contemporary artistic trends.
Educational documentaries for students and teachers, film and photography seminars, doll and pottery-making workshops, musical interactive events for children and young people, storytelling, musical performances, etc., will also be a part of the festival.

PROGRAMME
All days (September 22nd-25th)
- Poster exhibition in the outdoor area with the entries that distinguished themselves in the festival poster contest.
- Everyday at 17:00, Documentary Workshop for creating two short documentary films by director Stathis Galazoulas – Café “Kritamos”.
Friday, September 22nd
- 10:00 Educational screening – Kardamyli High School, “Shut up and play the piano” directed by Philipp Jedicke.
- 20:00 Screening – Old School’s courtyard, “Cine Rebaca” (56’), directed by Marcia Mansur.
- 21:00 Opening Ceremony
- 21:30 Screening – Old School, “Buena Vista Social Club” (105’) directed and written by Wim Wenders.
- 23:00 D.J. Party – Kardamili Square. (With NEMA beer and dishes from West Mani offered by the “Association of Kardamili Professionals”.
Saturday, September 23rd
- Doll-making workshop for children – Old School. +6 years old. Duration: 3 hours.
- 17:00 Pottery workshop – Old School. (For children 4-12 years old).
- 17:00 Screening – Café “Kritamos”. “The Eye of Istanbul” (55’) directed by Binnur Karaevli and Fatih Kaymak.
- 18:00 Masterclass – Café “Kritamos”.
- 20:00 Screening – Old School. “Gian Paolo Barbieri” (75’), directed by Emiliano Scatarzi (in the presence of the director).
- 21:30 Screening Old School. “Markos” (80’), directed by Nikos Skarentzos (in the presence of the director).
- 23:00 Rebetiko music evening with “Assodio” – Kardamyli Square.
Sunday, September 24th
- 11:00 Interactive event for all ages by the “Chikibom” group – Kardamyli Square. “Make your own song” by Eleni Christidou and Panos Tantis.
- 11:00-13:00 Discussion – Café “Androuvitsa”. “Looking for the aesthetics of the future”.
- 19:30 Folk tales for all ages = Old School’s courtyard. “Cinema before cinema”.
- 21:00 Screening – Old School’s courtyard. “The Art of Silence” (81’), directed by Maurizius Staerkle Drux.
Monday, September 25th
- 10:00 Educational screening – Stoupa Primary School. “Queen without a Kingdom” (70’), directed by Asgeir Helgestad.
- 20:00 Screening – Old School. “Maboungou: Being in the World” (46’), directed by Marlene Millar and Philip Szporer.
- Screening: Collective Documentary exercise about Kardamyli by the seminar’s participants.
- 21:00 Closing Ceremony -Old School. The Moving Band ensemble of the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory accompanies three silent films by Buster Keaton with live music.
