An exceptional beach that offers unique experiences to snorkelling enthusiasts since, in its centre, you will find a very old shipwreck.

It is the wreck of a commercial ship that was accidentally bombed by the Allies during the Second World War and remained in the shallow waters of the beach, offering shelter to the rich underwater fauna. Since the beach of Vourlias is located on the island of Proti, access can be achieved only by boat from Marathopolis.

If you decide to visit this beach, be sure to carry water, food and anything else you might need with you since the island is not habitable, and there are no canteens or bars. This little trip might make you feel scared or uncomfortable, but for what it's worth, and as wise people say, while pursuing whatever is considered "difficult", the reward is much more significant.
