Domaine Dereskos was founded in 1994, in the municipality of Messinia, in Gargaliani. The place is near historical Pylos, in southwest Peloponnese. The family vineyards are a part of the southwest zone of Messinia, a traditional wine cultivation zone.
Domaine Dereskos is aiming at highlighting the special characteristics of the vineyards of the area, in order to produce quality regional wines (vin de pays).
Their vineyard varieties are the French Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Grenache Rouge, Chardonnay and three Greek varieties, Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko and Roditis.
The wine factory is settled in the Agrilia area, among vineyards.
The factory’s equipment as well as the controlled temperature fermentation and stainless tanks are pieces of modern technology. They contribute to the owner’s philosophy in modern wine making technology.
The high quality production can be strictly controlled in every phase of the wine process until the final bottling.
The wines, for aging, are kept in oak barrels of 220ltr capacity.
