Barlas beach is 4 kilometres from Marathos and 5 kilometres from Gargaliani, very close to the small settlement of the same name. It differs from the rest of the beaches in the area as it is a unique geological combination of a sandy and rocky (with huge rocks) beach.
Barlas beach, with its fine pebbles, is ideal for lovers of underwater exploration, with rich fauna and flora at the bottom. To go to the beach, one should turn right at the 3rd kilometre of the Marathos-Pylos national road.
