Efklis-Chelmos/Psili Korfi and Neraidorachi

An ascent to the imposing peak of Chelmos at 2,355 m, in Psili Korfi !!
The bulk of Chelmos dominates between the large ravines of Vouraikos and the mythical river Krathi!
With its rich relief and impressive nature, the climb to the top of Chelmos offers magical images for its visitors!

The ''Efklis'' Kalamata Hikers and Mountaineers Association has planned an impressive mountaineering climb to the Psili Korfi (2,355 m.) and Neraidorachi (2,340 m.) of Chelmos on April 27th, 2025.

We will hike through the pristine nature of Helmos, enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the mountain.
Entering the alpine zone and ascending to the top, we pass by Neraidorachi, the most famous peak of Achaia!!
One of the most modern telescopes in Europe, the ''Aristarchos,'' has been placed at an altitude of 2,238 m. This is because Neraidorachi is one of the darkest areas in Europe!!
From the High Peak of Helmos at 2,355 m., we can enjoy a fantastic view!!
We can see Erymanthos, Dourdouvana, Kyllini and all the other steep peaks of Helmos, which are breathtaking!!

ROUTE INFORMATION.
We will start from the Kalavryta Ski Centre at 1,600 m. altitude.
Our route to Neraidorachi will be on the ridges with excellent signage (orange signs).
Then, after seeing the end of the ski lift and the "Aristarchos" Observatory, we will continue around to the Psili Korfi and return through the pit.
Elevation of the ascent is 965 m., and the descent altitudes are approximately the same.
This mountaineering/hiking requires good physical condition and is aimed at those who love wild alpine nature!!
Difficulty level (3/5), 11 km. and walking time 6:00 (+/-).

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION.
Transportation by modern air-conditioned coach:
Bus cost for everyone: 30 euros.
Seat reservations are exclusively available upon purchase of a ticket.
If, for any reason, the participant does not come to the excursion, 50% of the ticket will be refunded, provided that another participant does not fill their place.
The participation cost includes:
- Transportation by luxurious air-conditioned coach to and from our destination.
- Driver's expenses.
- Tolls.
- VAT 13%.
- Anything else required for the excursion.
Free time for lunch, coffee or dessert at Kleitoria.
