Stathis and Fani live their seemingly quiet relationship in some corner of the Greek countryside. He is a doctor and a promising party official, she is a development manager in early retirement, in order to devote herself to her family and their 15-year-old daughter Maria. However, behind the idyllic tranquillity, a monster lurks. Maria behaves in a psychotic manner, she is absent from home at the most unlikely hours, she smokes pot naked with her classmates in the school toilets. A video of her in indecent poses is circulating on the internet. Her father manages to cover up any repercussions. But Maria doesn't give up. She insists. For some reason, she seems to want what she does to become known until one night...
The monster begins to emerge. The darker it is, the more relentless the light emits—a light as revealing as the little girl's drawings that make up the horrific background.
Michael Anthis, winner of 4 state awards from the Ministry of Culture, composes a shocking thriller of domestic violence to tell us that... "sometimes silence makes the most dangerous noise".
The project, which won over audiences and critics, is supported by the General Secretariat for Demographic and Family Policy and Gender Equality.
