Efklis-Lepidas Gorge/Waterfalls/N.E. Mount Parnon
Spread the word
On April 7th, 2024, the "Efklis" Hikers and Climbers Association will set out on the northeastern slopes of Mount Parnon or Malevos to walk along a route that the area's inhabitants have used for centuries. This route connects the traditional historical settlement of Agios Ioannis or Agiannis, the capital of the Greek state, in 1822, with Platanos Kynourias, designated as a traditional settlement in 1978.
"Efklis" will accompany the friends of S.A.O.O. Tripoli, led by S.A.O.O. Dimitris Karamitzos.
The Lepidas Gorge is one of the many impressive gorges of Parnon, the mountain that forms the natural divide between Arcadia and Laconia.
You can find a detailed itinerary for the excursion at the office of the "Efklis" Association.
