Foifa Natural Farm-Degrowth Library

Join us in a unique action at the Foifa Natural Farm in Kalamata, where we will collectively build a library from unused materials! We will give new life to objects that others consider useless, creating a space for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences.

11.00 - 14.00 Collective construction of the library with recycled or forgotten materials
14.00 - 16.00 Space for relaxation and connection with others, completion of the library
16.00 - 19.00 Open discussion on degrowth: what it is, why it is essential and how we can implement it

What is degrowth?
Degrowth is a social organisation proposal that challenges the dominant model of continuous economic growth, proposing instead collective care, democracy, equality and harmonious coexistence with nature. It is not only an economic theory, but also a political and cultural project that emphasises the commons, sustainability and social justice.

The action is organised by the informal degrowth group Let’s Talk About Degrowth in the context of Global Degrowth Day and is funded by Research and Degrowth International.
