At the foothills of Mount Aigaleo (Agia), the village of Mouzaki is situated. In the centre of the village, you will find the traditional tavern, “Exochikon”, which has been there since 1932, maintaining the authentic, classic recipes made with the freshest ingredients.
There you can taste the authentic “petoules”, the traditional “lalagopsoma”, “pasto kagiana” (pork meat with eggs and tomatoes), “mouzakiopita” (Mouzaki’s pie) or “melitouta” (honey pie). You can also enjoy high-quality local grilled meat and local wine. After all, Mouzaki is famous for its vines due to its ideal altitude.
If you decide to go, call them the day before and ask them to make you spaghetti with village cock. Nowhere else will you find a dish that is so tasty.
