The Vlachopoulo Women's Association is based in the village with the same name, which is 12.5 kilometres from Chora and 28 kilometres from Kalamata.
The Association aims to preserve the folk traditions and folklore of the region. For this reason, several cultural activities and events are held yearly, such as "The Wedding of the Carnival", the "Oil and Lalaggida Festival", etc.
Also, an important project of the Vlachopoulo Women's Association is the establishment of the Folklore Museum "The Woman", which represents the interior of a traditional house of the 18th and 19th centuries.
