On Sunday, August 4, 2024, the nature lovers and friends of the Kalamata Hikers and Climbers Association "Evklis" will set off to Ilia to walk in the bed of the Cypreni Canyon.
Sipreni Gorge is located in Ilia, east of the village of Panopoulos and west of Androni.
Route: River crossing, treading water in the bed, with difficulty B, walking hours 6:30 (+/-) depending on the group's composition.
The club organisers recommend using a protective helmet when crossing the river because the canyon walls consist of soft soil in several places.
Maximum number of participants: 23 people.
When exiting the gorge, we will use rural roads to return us to the village of Panopoulos.
Rural cars cost 5 euros per person.
At the end of the river crossing, we will visit the village of Panopoulos, where we will enjoy coffee and delicious food in the village's shops in the central square.
Transportation: By luxury air-conditioned coach with 23 seats.
Total Cost: 33 euros (members, students and children) and 36 euros (non-members) together with 5 euros, which we will give to the rural cars which transport us to the canyon.
