With live music, delicious local flavours, and authentic Maniot hospitality, the village of Proastio, in West Mani, is getting ready to welcome visitors to its annual summer festival on Saturday, August 1st.
Entertainment will be provided by the "Mousikes Voitheies" band, featuring Leonidas Pachtitis, Makis Efthymiadis, Maria Alevizou, Tasos Anagnostou, Panagiotis Alexandropoulos, Dimitris Kakouros, and Thanos Drakopoulos. The band will perform a lively program of beloved traditional and Greek folk songs, promising an unforgettable evening of music and dancing.
The event is organised by the "Proastiotisses" Women's Association, and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy plenty of ice-cold beer and delicious gournopoula, the region's famous slow-roasted pork speciality. The festival promises a festive atmosphere filled with dancing, great food, and memorable summer moments for visitors of all ages.
