Katafygi
Katafygi beach is next to the village of Agios Dimitrios, in Western Mani, on the road to Trachila.
It is a secluded beach surrounded by huge rocks where the waves crash loudly. The characteristic of the beach is the natural marble "platforms" that give the landscape a wild look. For the adventurous ones, there is also a 12-meter-high rock from where they can dive into the deep blue waters.
On the beach, there is a cave of the same name, one of the largest in the country (1600 metres). In the past, an underground river ran through it, creating many channels between the marbles.
