Daskaroleio Cultural Centre
The Daskaroleio Cultural Centre is a multipurpose cultural space located in the centre of Messina. This building, with three floors, largely covers the needs of the Municipality's cultural activities.
In particular, the ground floor houses the Municipal Dance Club of Messina and functions as a place for learning traditional dances with the aim of promoting tradition and dance education. The 1st floor houses the Municipal Library of Messina and the Women's Association of Messina. At the same time, the 2nd floor houses Messina's Theatre Workshop. A theatre hall also operates where various theatrical performances occur. This cultural space offers citizens the opportunity to engage creatively with the performing arts as well as to watch theatrical performances.
More generally, the premises of the Athanasios Daskarolis Cultural Centre host many diverse events of the Associations and Agencies of the Municipality of Messina.
