Hempoil Natural Products is the first company in Greece that specialised in the sale of organic hemp products focusing on Cannabidiol – CBD Oil, the non-psychoactive substance of the hemp plant. It started introducing plant products to the Greek market in 2016 and, today has several retail stores throughout the country. At the same time, it supplies pharmacies and organic products stores with Cannabidiol oils but also with every kind of legal cannabis-related product.

In the store in Kalamata, the manager is Katerina Koumoundourou, who, with her kindness and restless presence, will welcome you, explain and give you the necessary details about the products she has in her store. - Katerina, tell us a little about medicinal cannabis and its properties.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical substance belonging to the family of hemp phytocannabinoids, which has been known since ancient times for its various uses and benefits. As it is a legal substance in multiple countries, it has been studied by universities and recognised by private bodies from time to time, highlighting a range of applications and uses for both humans and animals. The spectrum it covers is vast without exaggeration, as it affects autoimmune diseases, psychosomatic illnesses, anxiety, depression, insomnia, epilepsy, etc. It is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antispasmodic, anxiolytic, and analgesic and regulates the nervous system and metabolism. Even when one doesn’t need it immediately as a treatment, CBD helps in terms of prevention and overall mental and physical balance in the difficult times we live in.

- How did you get involved with CBD?

About a year before I opened the store, I used CBD oil for a personal health problem. The results were spectacular; just like that, the store became my assistant in helping people who didn't know the subject in the same way I was helped.

- What can someone find in your store? Who usually visits you?

Most people usually come to the store because they have read in an article that therapeutic cannabis helps with health problems they are concerned about or after being urged by their doctor or pharmacist. In most people's minds, however, hearing about cannabis equals the smoking part. In the Hempoil store in Kalamata, you will find, depending on the needs of the patient and the condition, different forms of uses of cannabidiol, such as CBD oils, cannabidiol edibles, creams/pomades/ointments, plasters, inflorescences, crystals/candles/concentrates. As for how to use it, I'm always here to help and advise each case individually. The truth is that I have a special relationship with my clients. I am particularly pleased with the trust they show me, but more so with the positive development of their health.

- Why did you collaborate with Hempoil and not with another company?

When I decided to get involved in the trade of this magical plant, I visited exhibitions and talked to suppliers and companies while trying many products. What won me over to Hempoil, apart from the quality of its products, was the vision of the company president Christos Botsis and the support of the company's partners, such as our scientific partner and pharmacist Ilias Grammatikakis, who is always by our side to advise us and help us evolve.

- Tell us a little about Hempoil®'s collaboration with medical research.

Hempoil® collaborates with medical associations, scientific societies and universities, promoting knowledge and research on the medicinal properties of hemp. For its innovative work, it has received several awards and distinctions.

All products always have all the necessary analyses and certifications (HACCP, cannabinoid content analysis, etc.).
