NATIONAL AIRPORT OF KALAMATA "CAPTAIN VAS. KONSTANTAKOPOULOS"

"Vasilis Konstantakopoulos" State Airport started its operation in 1959. Charter flights began in 1986, and the construction of the new terminal was completed in 1991.
"Vasilis Konstantakopoulos" State Airport is only 9 km away from the centre of Kalamata and its facilities cover an area of 2450 sq. metres. It has two arrival halls, two departure halls and a passenger waiting room. It also has a parking lot for 70 vehicles, but due to the limited space parking is not allowed for long periods of time.
"Vasilis Konstantakopoulos" State Airport accepts a significant number of charter flights in connection with many European destinations, especially during the summer months.
England, France, Cyprus, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Denmark, Austria, Holland, Norway, Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria are the countries with direct flights to our city.
