Works from the valuable collection of the Evaggelos Averof Gallery

This is the annual exhibition of the Municipality of Kalamata and the Art Department of K.E. Faris, which presents 45 representative works of Evaggelos Averof's collection for the first time in Kalamata. The exhibition will reveal the wealth of achievements of important and renowned artists from the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century.

The President of K.E. Faris Sotiris Kritsotakis addressed a call to the art-loving public, noting that "this exhibition is a unique opportunity to admire works of art from a personal collection, which includes works by important artists. Each painting has its own story and offers a unique look at artistic creation. Art has the power to unite us and inspire us. Through this exhibition, we have the opportunity to discover new perspectives and delve deeper into artistic expression."

It should be noted that the exhibition, which will be hosted from October 19th to November 10th, 2024, at the Black Box of the Kalamata Dance Megaron, is admission-free for the public.
