The Aris Community and the Municipality of Kalamata will screen the historical documentary dedicated to the hero Anastasis Tzamalis on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024. Ioannis Moutsoula directed the film, "The Events of the Messenian Revolution of 1834—Anastasis Tzamalis and the Battle of Aslanaga." The screening will take place in Pamisos Park, at the Aris Dam.
The documentary is about two hours long and is based on the actions of Anastasis Jamalis, a chieftain descended from Aris. The screening will start at 20:40 in the evening. Greetings and awards will precede it, and the portrait of the chieftain will also be presented.
