Spread the word
April 24th is the Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide that began 109 years ago in 1915 with 1.5 million victims.
On April 24th, we remember this tragic event through the documentary "Singing in Exile" by Turi Finocchiaro and Nathalie Rossetti.
Singing in Exile, by Turi Finocchiaro and Nathalie Rossetti, (77'), 2015
In order to carry on the legacy of their ancestors, Arman and Virginia, an Armenian couple, travel with a troupe of young European actors from the Wrocław Grotowski Institute to the parts of the East where this art once flourished. Along the way, their questioning revives the richness of an uprooted culture, and song and theatre become languages of creation and breath of life.
Admission is by donation as part of the tribute to Palestine, with proceeds going to support Palestinian artists.
