The collaboration of the Creative Documentary Centre with the 8th Athens Hispanic Film Festival (FeCHA) is completed with the screening of the documentary La Revuelta (84') by Lucero González. The screening will take place on Koutsomitopoulou pedestrian street, and admission is free.
The Mexican documentary "The Uprising, La Revuelta" (2022) by Lucero González was screened in Athens as part of the Diversidad 2024 tribute in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico and the Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE) and is a cinematic journey where we will get to know the great bet of fifty years of feminist activism by a group of women who came together to make a rebellion to see the changes in the younger generations. The film is an ode to female friendship and solidarity but also a reminder that the battle for women's rights is ongoing, with Lucero González creating a moving portrait of a group of women who left their mark on Mexican history.
