Prevention of Addictions and Promotion of Psychosocial Health Centre of Messenia
The "Prevention of Addictions and Promotion of Psychosocial Health Centre of Messenia (K.E.P.E.P.P.S.Y.) of Messenia has operated and been active in the form of a civil non-profit company since 1999 in the area of Messenia carrying out primary prevention programmes. The K.E.P.E.P.P.S.Y. is scientifically supervised by the Organisation Against Drugs (OKANA).
The purpose of the Prevention Centre is to inform, raise awareness and educate the broader community about:
- The phenomenon of addiction.
- Prevention as a means of dealing with all those factors that lead to addiction.
- The strengthening of protective factors that can contribute to promoting physical and mental health.
The prevention programmes implemented by K.E.P.E.P.P.S.Y. are aimed at children, teenagers and young people. They aim to strengthen knowledge and skills that will help them face their difficulties with optimism and self-confidence.
