The volunteer Disaster Response Team (D.D.R.) 4x4 of Messenia was founded in 2009 to respond to emergencies in cooperation with official bodies and rescue and assist people.
O.A.K. has six special four-wheel-drive vehicles, one trailer fire brigade, two water pumps, one power generator and three watercraft.
The Disaster Response Team's areas of action include earthquakes, floods, fires, and snowfalls. It holds a series of exercises and training programmes every year.
