The "The New Martyr Agios Dimitrios" Association of Apantachou Chora People was founded in 2018 with the aim of the place's spiritual, social and cultural development, worthy of the historical and religious importance of the area.
The newly founded Association organises events, such as scientific and folkloric lectures, while providing emergency humanitarian aid where needed.
In 2021, on the occasion of the completion of 200 years since the Greek Revolution of 1821, the Association presented the Collective Collection entitled: "Messenia '21", which includes the historical events that took place in the area of the Municipality of Pylos-Nestor in Trifylia, as well as in the broader area of Messenia.
