The Unknown Sailor Monument

The Unknown Sailor Monument is located on the central quayside of the port of Kalamata, at the height of Vyronos Street. It used to be located 200 metres further, on the arm of the port, in the "Panhellenium".
Sculptor Aikaterini Kosmas-Tzavaras designed the monument in 2006 on the initiative of the "Poseidon" Naval Club of Kalamata (whose emblem is also on the memorial).
