The "Kalamata Centre of Folklore Studies" was founded in 1994 and deals with the research, study, presentation and teaching of Greek traditional dances, aiming to save and spread the culture of the place.
It holds a series of cultural events every year, such as dance performances, scientific meetings and educational excursions. Moreover, traditional dance classes for children and adults are taught at the Association's offices.
