DIPETHE Kalamata-The Prince and the Pauper
Spread the word
The Municipal Regional Theater of Kalamata's Children's Stage will present Mark Twain's masterpiece, THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, adapted by Giorgos Franzeskakis, from winter 2024 to 2025.
It is the story of two children who look like two drops of water and decide to change clothes and live each other's lives. One boy is a prince and son of King Henry VIII, and the other is a poor beggar. They begin entanglements and adventures; in this way, each learns from the other's life and recognises what is fair and what is not. This work is full of imagination, humour and adventure, while intelligently, one can distinguish poverty from wealth and justice from injustice. A work for children and young people... of all ages.
