The Asia Minor Association of Kalamata, always aiming to save history and preserve collective memory, is organising an event, "Rosa of Smyrna", on August 7th at the War Museum Annex of Kalamata.
An event that will include a screening of the film of the same name, produced in 2016 and directed by Giorgos Kordellas, based on the novel "Ismail and Rosa" by author Giannis Giannelis Theodosiadis, in the forecourt of the War Museum and an exhibition of the wedding dress of the film as mentioned earlier (the viewer travels to Smyrna of 1922 and in Athens in 1980 with a "guide" a bloody wedding dress) which the President of ESTIA Nea Smyrna Anastasia Kapsis-Papadatos kindly provided to our Association for the needs of the event as well as refugee heirlooms, which will be exhibited in the new event hall of the Museum.
