The Peloponnese Region organised the 1st Peloponnese Gastronomy Festival in the summer of 2022 under the title: "Peloponnese Food Stories-Stories of people-tastes-culture". The Peloponnese Gastronomy Festival includes an exhibition of local products, tasting and wine-tasting evenings, cooking demonstrations, traditional recipes, speeches, creative workshops for children, musical events, etc.
The festival aims to promote the culinary content of each Regional Unit (Messenia, Laconia, Arcadia, Argolis, Corinthia), strengthen the local economy, and establish the Festival as an institution. Finally, it is a unique experiential event where the place's culture, identity, folklore and history are externalised through raw materials.
