Solo Gelato is not just an established brand in the Greek ice cream market, but the best ice cream in Europe awarded 1st place in the Pan-European Ice Cream Championship held in Berlin in 2012. It is fresh Italian ice cream with minimal fat (only 5%), prepared with pure first-quality ingredients, namely fresh milk and fruit.
Its owner, Nikos Christogeorgos, a third-generation "ice cream maker", has been using his grandfather's recipes since 1951 to this day, preparing the ice creams from scratch, with fine raw materials and, of course, without ready mixes. At Solo Gelato, you will find a wide variety of ice cream flavours, even without sugar (with stevia and agave syrup) or gluten.
Traditional cream with salepi and Chios mastic, chocolate sorbet with Criollo cocoa, Sicilian pistachio (100% IGP), and Piedmont hazelnut (100% IGP) are just some of the dozens of incredible flavours waiting for you to try every season of the year. Also, at Solo Gelato, one will find cold or hot drinks as well as a wide range of Italian and Greek traditional sweets such as Sicilian cannoli with ricotta, pavlova, coconut cookies and handmade baklava.
Every day at Solo Gelato in Gialova, they prepare fresh handmade ice cream themselves in their workshop, with pure first-quality ingredients, specifically fresh milk and fruit. Their delicious creamy ice cream is low fat, just 5%. With fresh milk as the main ingredient, combined with aromatic chocolate or the taste of fresh fruit and crunchy nuts, the quality of the ice cream is non-negotiable.
