The "Apollo Kalamata Sports Club" was founded in 1927 and maintains a football and volleyball department today.
The football section of the Association is one of the most historic football teams in the city of Kalamata, and it has a presence in the national categories. In contrast, the volleyball section was founded in 2014 with the women's team.
