The "Primitive Blood Cell" Kalamata Bone Marrow Donors Association is based in Sperchogeia, and its primary purpose is to inform and raise public awareness about the social contribution of blood donation, bone marrow and umbilical cord blood donation. Through the continuous training and information of the doctors and nurses of Messenia in matters of haematology and oncology, the Association successfully promotes its work while strengthening the purposes of the Hellenic Hematology Society.
Each year, the Association holds a series of educational seminars for doctors and nurses, as well as informative lectures and events for the public.
