The Municipal School of Dance - FARIS
The Municipal Dance School of Kalamata is housed in the Zoumbouleio Megaron. This three-storey neoclassical building was renovated with special care and is enriched with modern and appropriate logistical infrastructure. Each academic year includes a complete educational programme with courses in classical ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation and musical movement education.
The Municipal School of Dance consists of two departments. All children and adults can attend the amateur section without exception (adult gymnastics classes). In contrast, the pre-professional section is attended by children who wish to study dance in order to take exams at higher professional schools in Greece and abroad. Special preparation classes for Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) degrees are also organised. During the year, the Municipal School of Kalamata also organises educational programmes for students and dance teachers.
