Oline Oil Festival by the Kalamata Mountaineering Association
The annual "Olive Oil Festival" was held for the first time in 2017 by the Mountaineering Association of Kalamata, with the aim of getting the world to know as much as possible about the main product that the Messenian land produces.
The beginning of the festival marks the end of the harvest of the olive agricultural product. The event's co-sponsor is the "Olive and Olive Oil School of Kalamata", while at the same time, the role played by the Mountaineering Association of Kalamata in promoting the local products of Messenia is highlighted.
During the event, the attendees have the opportunity to be informed by specialised scientists about the cultivation of the olive tree and the quality of the olive oil, as well as to be introduced to the olive oil tasting process.
