Since 1984, the "Aeolos" Nautical Sports Club of Kalamata has inspired people of all ages to love the sea through sports.
Our modern facilities in the Kalamata harbour offer learning and training programmes that combine adventure, knowledge and safety — open to all.

Triangle Sailing
In 1984, our first Triangle Sailing section was founded for children aged seven and above.
Since then, Aeolοs' athletes have given Messenia multiple Panhellenic and Regional Championships in the OPTIMIST and LASER categories.
In the "sheltered" Messenian Gulf, our young sailors train in complete safety, under the guidance of certified coaches and accompanied by rescue boats.
The Club offers all the necessary equipment, organised sports areas and full support to each new member.
Sailing Academy
The Aeolos Sailing Academy welcomes children from 6 years old who want to experience the sport with joy and safety.
Whether as a summer activity or intending to participate in the competitive team, children learn to cooperate, respect nature and discover themselves through the power of the wind and the sea.
Offshore Sailing
Since 1986, Aeolus Offshore Sailing School has been introducing adults of all ages to the art of sailing.
With over 1,400 graduates, our courses combine theoretical education and practical experience at sea, offering complete training in:
♦ Boat handling and anchoring
♦ Sail adjustment and aerodynamics
♦ Navigation, GPS and meteorology
♦ Safety and communication rules (VHF)
Upon successfully completing the course, participants obtain an offshore sailing boat skipper’s certificate, allowing them to sail and rent boats.
Every year, Aeolos organises inter-club competitions, the highlight of which is the "George Andreas Karelia" Sailing Three-Day Festival, an institution that unites tradition and competitive spirit.
Aeolos Today
Today, Aeolos has:
60 athletes in the small categories,
180 in the Open Sea,
Competitively, the Club is a star in the OPTIMIST, LASER 4.7 and Open Sea categories, with significant successes in Regional, Panhellenic and International Championships.

The Messenian Gulf is filled with sails and children's smiles every Saturday and Sunday!
The "Aeolos" Nautical Sports Club of Kalamata offers organised sailing training for children and teenagers in a safe and inspiring environment.
Training Programme
14:30–18:00 | Optimist Training
For children 8 to 15 years old, it is also suitable for beginners taking their first steps in sailing.
14:30–18:00 | ILCA 4 Training
For children aged 14 to 19, previous sailing experience is required.
Training occurs all year round, at the Club’s facilities, regardless of weather conditions.
Athletes only need suitable clothing for the sea — Aeolos provide everything else.
Participation fee: €40 / month
In addition to training, Aeolos organises events and activities for the whole family, such as the Christmas Bazaar and other beautiful initiatives that unite the sailing community of Kalamata.

The “Adopt a Boat” Programme
We offer everyone the chance to join our racing team uniquely!
Through the "Adopt a Boat" programme, your business gains personalised visibility by placing your logo on the sides of an Optimist boat.
♦ AEOLOS boats travel every weekend in the harbour and in front of Kalamata beach, offering extensive and repeated visibility.
♦ They also participate in races throughout Messenia, the Peloponnese and Athens, projecting your brand beyond the city limits.
♦ This action connects your business with education, sports and youth, projecting a strong social profile.
Participation fee: 500€ / year
The "A Van for Aeolos" Programme
Aeolos is starting a new, important project:
We are raising 20,000€ to purchase a 9-seater van, which will be necessary for transporting the Club’s athletes to training sessions, competitions and missions throughout Greece.
The existing vehicles have completed their life cycle, and purchasing a new van will ensure safe, reliable and comfortable transportation for all the children of Aeolos.
As a sponsor, your business will have its logo displayed on the vehicle, which will travel throughout Messenia, the Peloponnese and Athens, offering mobile, permanent and high-impact advertising.
Participation fee: From €2,000 to €20,000, with graduated visibility depending on the sponsorship amount.
