The "Agricultural Cooperative of Kalamata" was founded in 1963, in Kalamata, in the ancient site of "Farai" and is the pre-eminent primary olive-growing cooperative with one of the first olive-growing units in Messenia. Today, it has 300 active members and one of Greece's most modern olive mills.
The "Agricultural Cooperative of Kalamata" has three certifications: the "Food Safety Management System" certification according to the ISO standard, the "Product of Protected Designation of Origin" certification, and the "Integrated Olive Production Management System" certification, according to the AGRO 2.1 &2.2 standard.
