"Agia Triada" Cultural Association
The "Agia Triada" Cultural Association of Kalamata was founded in 2004 in the settlement of 8 Public Housing by a group of volunteers and today has more than 300 active members.
The Association has the "Argo" dance department, the purpose of which is to preserve our area's music and dance tradition, as well as a theatre department. There is also a group that records the traditional songs of the wider region, while a Blood Bank has been created that organises voluntary blood donations.
Every year, the Association organises several cultural events (music and dance activities, educational trips, etc.) while participating in various traditional anniversaries. In fact, the group of the Association is the first to arrive at the 23rd of March square, behind Papaflessas, during the reenactment of the Liberation of Kalamata.
In the “Agia Triada" Cultural Association of Kalamata, traditional dances are taught to children and adults. At the same time, it also has an extensive collection of traditional clothing, many of which have been sewn by the women of the Association.
