Theatrical Route - Cultural Association
The amateur theatre group "Theatrical Route (Theatriki Diadromi)" was founded in Kalamata in September 1994. The group's logo with the three faces was designed by one of the founding members, the late Michalis Toumbouros, which refers to the thought of the Italian dramatist and novelist Luigi Pirandello, that every man serves three images of himself.
"Theatrical Route" has participated in Panhellenic Theatre Festivals (Ithaca, Karditsa, Veria), winning several awards (performance, best performance, direction, music, set design, etc.). All the theatre shows that have been produced touch sensitive social issues such as war, racism, drugs and many more. Finally, in addition to the theatrical performances, the "Theatrical Route" also organises a series of musical theatre events-dedications to great intellectual people, as well as to historical events, such as the Polytechnic uprising.
