The "HARMONIA" Friends of Music Kalamata Association was founded at the beginning of 1992 with the aim of contributing to the cultural development of Kalamata and Messenia through a series of events, such as concerts, choral meetings, etc. It includes a mixed polyphonic choir made up of 45 members (artistic director: Michalis Gargalionis) while it also publishes the literary magazine "EKFRASI".
"HARMONIA" has participated in the most important festivals in Greece and abroad with successful performances. The crowning event of its successes is its tour to Canada (with the presentation of a patriotic programme for all Greeks who live abroad) and the Greek-speaking villages of South Italy.
