"Tettiges" Polyphonic Choir - Cultural Association
The "Tettiges" polyphonic choir is a small vocal ensemble founded in October 2022 in Kalamata. The idea was created following the members' initiative and the need to express themselves through singing.
It consists of 17 members, men and women from the broader area of Kalamata, and is hosted by the Music and Artistic Association "Akritas".
The purpose of the choir is its members' musical cultivation through choral singing and the creation of a cultural cell for the dissemination and utilisation of musical tradition and the development of musical education.
The choir's repertoire moves within the framework of traditional - artistic Greek and foreign music.
To this day, the choir continues its work under the direction and teaching of the musician Teta Vassilakis.
