The "Psiloritis" Cretan Association of Messenia was founded in 1982 and is based in Kalamata. Since then, it has been actively present in many cultural events of the city, such as the "Tsikoudia Festival", the "Traditional Dances Gathering", etc.
Also, the Association provides traditional dances and lyre lessons teaching programmes to children and adults.
